Returns, Refunds & Your Rights
Can I return a supplement to NZSupps if I just change my mind?
Yes, as goodwill we accept eligible items within 30 days of delivery if they are unopened, unused, and in original condition with tamper-evident seals intact. You pay return shipping, so email returns@nzsupps.co.nz before sending anything back.
What are my rights if my order arrives faulty or damaged?
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 you get a remedy, with a minor fault meaning we repair, replace, or refund at our choice. A major fault is your choice of refund, replacement, or compensation, so email returns@nzsupps.co.nz with your order number and a photo.
Can I return an opened tub of protein or pre-workout?
No, opened or seal-broken supplements, food, and drink cannot be returned for change of mind for health and hygiene reasons. Your Consumer Guarantees Act rights still apply if the item is actually faulty, so contact returns@nzsupps.co.nz.
How do I start a return with NZSupps?
Email returns@nzsupps.co.nz with your order number, plus a photo if the item is faulty or damaged, before sending anything back. Always contact us first so we can confirm the return is eligible and sort the next steps.
How long do refunds take to come through?
Once we inspect your return, we take up to 5 business days to process the refund, then your bank adds another 2 to 5 business days. Refunds always go back to your original payment method.
Who pays for return shipping?
We cover return shipping for faulty or incorrectly supplied items. For a change-of-mind return within the 30-day goodwill window you pay return shipping, so contact returns@nzsupps.co.nz first to confirm which applies.
What is the difference between a faulty return and a change-of-mind return?
A faulty return is your legal right under the Consumer Guarantees Act when an item is not acceptable quality, fit for purpose, or as described. Change of mind is not a legal right, just a 30-day goodwill option for unopened, sealed items.
My order said delivered but it never arrived. What can I do?
Email help@nzsupps.co.nz within 10 business days if your parcel shows delivered but is missing, so we can investigate with the courier. The earlier you tell us, the easier it is to trace.
My parcel arrived damaged. How do I report it?
Send photos of the damage to help@nzsupps.co.nz within 48 hours of delivery so we can sort a remedy. For a faulty or damaged item we cover the return shipping under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Will NZSupps refund me to a different card or account?
No, refunds go back to the original payment method used at checkout. NZSupps never sees your card details, as the refund is processed through Shopify's secure checkout to the card or wallet you originally paid with.
Can I return a sale or final-sale item?
Final-sale items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. If a final-sale item turns out to be faulty, your Consumer Guarantees Act rights still apply, so email returns@nzsupps.co.nz with your order number and a photo.
Does the 30-day change-of-mind window apply to everything?
No, it only covers unopened, unused items in original condition with seals intact. Opened supplements, food and drink, used or non-resaleable items, and final-sale items are excluded for change of mind, though faulty items keep their CGA rights.
Can NZSupps refuse a refund because I bought it on special?
No, your Consumer Guarantees Act rights apply whether an item was full price or on special, and they cannot be excluded. A discounted item that is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose still gets a remedy.
What counts as a major fault versus a minor fault?
A minor fault is one we can reasonably fix, so we repair, replace, or refund at our choice. A major fault is serious or unfixable, giving you the choice of a refund, replacement, or compensation under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

My payment was declined, what should I do?
First check the card number, expiry and billing details, then try again or use another method like Shop Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If it keeps failing, email help@nzsupps.co.nz and the team will help.
Can I get a refund to a different card than the one I paid with?
No, refunds always go back to the original payment method used at checkout. Contact returns@nzsupps.co.nz first; once we inspect a return, processing takes up to 5 business days, plus 2 to 5 business days for your bank.

Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling?
Yes. From your account customer portal (powered by Recharge) you can skip or reschedule upcoming orders to pause deliveries, or cancel altogether with no lock-in.

Adjust the delivery frequency in your account customer portal, which is powered by Recharge. You set per-product frequency when subscribing through Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack.
Can I change the flavour on my subscription?

No, Subscribe and Save is available on eligible products only. Look for the subscribe option on the product page, or build a subscription through Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack.
Find Your Stack (Quiz)
What is Find Your Stack on NZSupps?
Find Your Stack is a short quiz at /pages/find-your-stack that recommends a personalised supplement stack based on your goal, training, and preferences. You can swap products, pick flavours, set delivery frequency, and add the whole stack to cart.
How does the quiz decide what to recommend?
It builds your stack from your answers about your goal, training, and product preferences, using products we stock. You can swap any pick before adding to cart, so the final stack is yours to adjust.
Can I change the products the quiz suggests?
Yes. Every recommended product can be swapped for another option on the results page, so you are never locked into a pick. Adjust the stack until it suits you, then add it to cart.
Can I choose flavours in Find Your Stack?
Yes, you can choose a flavour for each product in your stack on the results page. Flavour options shown depend on what is available for that product, and accessory items will show colour instead.
Can I set how often each product is delivered?
Yes. The quiz lets you set delivery frequency per product, so items you go through faster can arrive more often than the rest of your stack. Manage it later from your account portal.
How do I add my whole stack to the cart?
Once you have set your swaps, flavours, and frequency on the results page, you can add the entire stack to cart in one step. From there, check out as normal through our secure Shopify checkout.
Do I save money if I subscribe from the quiz results?
Yes. Subscribe on eligible products through Find Your Stack and save 10%, powered by Recharge. You can skip, reschedule, or cancel anytime from your account portal.
Who is the Find Your Stack quiz for?
It suits anyone unsure where to start or wanting a tailored supplement stack, from first-timers to regular trainers. For general info only, not medical advice. Check with a doctor or pharmacist if pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or on medication.
Build Your Stack & Bundles
How do I build my own supplement stack on NZSupps?
Head to /pages/build-your-stack, pick the products you want across our range, and you save with bundle pricing as you add them. Subscribe options apply if you want the stack delivered on repeat.
What is the difference between Build Your Stack and the Find Your Stack quiz?
Build Your Stack (/pages/build-your-stack) lets you hand-pick products yourself with bundle pricing. Find Your Stack (/pages/find-your-stack) is a short quiz that recommends a personalised stack from your goals and training, which you can then swap and adjust.
Can I mix different brands in one stack?
Yes. You can combine products from any of our 32 brands in a single stack, for example a pre-workout from one brand and protein from another. (As of 29 June 2026.)
Do I save money by bundling products into a stack?
Yes, stacks built at /pages/build-your-stack come with bundle pricing, so buying products together costs less than adding them one by one. Add a subscription on eligible products for further savings.
Can I subscribe to a whole stack instead of buying it once?
Yes, on eligible products you can subscribe and save 10% through Recharge. Skip, reschedule, or cancel anytime from your account portal, and we do not promise a fixed delivery day.
Can I choose different flavours for each product in my stack?
Yes. The Find Your Stack quiz at /pages/find-your-stack lets you choose flavours and set per-product delivery frequency, then add the whole stack to cart.
I built a stack but want to change one product before checkout, can I?
Yes. In Find Your Stack you can swap products in or out before adding the stack to cart, and on Build Your Stack you adjust the products yourself. If you get stuck, email help@nzsupps.co.nz.
Tested for Sport & Batch Testing
What does batch tested for banned substances actually mean?
It means an independent lab has tested that production batch for banned substances. On NZSupps these products carry a "Batch Tested" badge and show the standard (Informed Sport, Informed Choice, or NSF Certified for Sport) on the product page.
What is the difference between Informed Sport and Informed Choice?
Both are independent banned-substance certification programmes you will see flagged on tested product pages. Rather than the labels alone, check the "Batch Tested" badge and the named standard on the specific product page, and browse them in the Tested for Sport collection.
What does NSF Certified for Sport mean?
NSF Certified for Sport is an independent certification for banned substances, one of the standards we flag alongside Informed Sport and Informed Choice. Where a product carries it, you will see the standard listed on its product page on NZSupps.
How do I find tested supplements on NZSupps?
Browse the Tested for Sport collection, where we flag products independently batch-tested for banned substances. Each one carries a "Batch Tested" badge and shows its standard (Informed Sport, Informed Choice, or NSF Certified for Sport) on the product page.
Are all your supplements certified for banned substances?
No, not every product we sell is certified, so we only flag the ones that are. If you are drug-tested, check the specific product page for the "Batch Tested" badge and the named standard before you buy.
Which brands have tested lines on NZSupps?
Brands with tested lines on NZSupps include Grenade and Raw Nutrition, among others. Rather than going by brand, check the "Batch Tested" badge on the specific product page, since not every product in a range is certified. (As of 29 June 2026.)
Is your pre-workout Informed Sport tested?
Some pre-workouts are batch-tested and some are not, so check the specific product page. Tested ones carry a "Batch Tested" badge and name the standard, and you can browse them all in the Tested for Sport collection.
I get drug tested for my sport, which supplements are safe to buy?
Stick to products in our Tested for Sport collection that carry a "Batch Tested" badge, and always check the exact product and batch you are buying. We flag the standard on the page, but the final call sits with you and your sport's rules.
Does the Batch Tested badge cover every batch of that product?
The badge shows the product line is certified to the named standard, but certification can be batch-specific. If you are drug-tested, check the specific product and batch you receive, and email help@nzsupps.co.nz if you need to confirm details.
Why does NZSupps say to check the batch even on tested products?
Because certification can apply per batch, and we would rather be honest than over-promise. We stock tested lines and flag the standard on the page, so always confirm the specific product and batch if you compete under testing.
Choosing Protein
What is the difference between whey concentrate and whey isolate (WPI)?
Whey isolate (WPI) is filtered further than concentrate, so it has more protein per serve with less carbs, fat, and lactose, while concentrate keeps a bit more of those and usually costs less. Check each product page for the protein-per-serve split.
Do you sell vegan or plant-based protein powder?
Yes, we carry plant-based protein made from sources like pea or rice, so it suits vegan and dairy-free diets. Filter the protein collection or email help@nzsupps.co.nz and we will point you to current stock.
I am lactose intolerant, which protein should I choose?
Whey isolate (WPI) has very little lactose and plant-based protein has none, so both suit many people who react to dairy. If you have a diagnosed allergy, check the label and talk to your doctor or pharmacist first.
What is casein protein and how is it different from whey?
Casein is a slow-digesting dairy protein that releases amino acids gradually, while whey digests fast, so some people have casein before bed and whey around training. This is general info only, so follow the product label directions.
When is the best time to take protein powder?
Hitting your total daily protein matters more than timing, though many people have a serve around training and spread the rest across the day. This is general guidance, not a meal plan, so follow the label.
How much protein powder should I take per day?
Most people use one to two scoops a day to top up their food, following the serving size on the label, since needs depend on bodyweight, goals, and diet. For tailored advice, check with a doctor, pharmacist, or dietitian.
Which protein is best for building muscle and which for weight loss?
A higher-protein whey or mass-style formula helps you hit your intake for muscle gain, while a lean whey isolate keeps calories lower when leaning down, and both rely on your overall diet and training. Try Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack for a goal-based pick.
What protein brands do you stock?
Our protein range includes Dymatize, Ghost, CBUM and Raw Nutrition, Cellucor, ProSupps, MusclePharm, Pharmafreak, Ryse, Xtend, Smart Protein Bar, Quest, and Vitawerx among others, and we do not stock Optimum Nutrition. Browse the protein collection to see what is in stock. (As of 29 June 2026.)
How do I mix protein powder so it is not lumpy?
Add liquid to your shaker first, then the powder, and shake hard for 20 to 30 seconds, using a shaker with a ball or mesh like Ice Shaker, SmartShake, or Swoleys for a smoother mix. Use water for a lighter shake or milk for a thicker, creamier one.
What protein flavours do you have?
Flavours vary by brand and run from chocolate and vanilla to fruity and dessert-style options, with each product page listing the flavours in stock for that protein. Filter the protein collection or use Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack to pick a flavour you like.
Can I subscribe to my protein and save?
Yes, eligible proteins offer Subscribe and Save, taking 10% off when you subscribe on the product page or through Find Your Stack. Manage, skip, reschedule, or cancel anytime from your account portal, powered by Recharge.
Is your whey protein Informed Sport or NSF certified for sport?
Some proteins are batch-tested but not all, so check the specific product, where tested items carry a Batch Tested badge and show the standard like Informed Sport, Informed Choice, or NSF Certified for Sport. Browse the Tested for Sport collection, and if you are drug-tested confirm the exact batch.
Pre-Workout
What does pre-workout actually do?
Pre-workout is a supplement taken before training to support energy, focus, and pump, depending on the formula. This is general info, so check the product label and directions, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns.
How much caffeine is in your pre-workouts?
Caffeine varies by product, from lower-stim blends to high-stim formulas, so the exact amount is on each product page and label. Check the label before you buy if caffeine matters to you.
What is the difference between stim and non-stim (pump) pre-workout?
Stim pre-workouts contain caffeine and other stimulants for energy and focus, while non-stim or pump formulas skip the stimulants and focus on blood flow ingredients. Choose non-stim if you train late or are sensitive to caffeine, and check the label.
When should I take pre-workout before training?
Most labels suggest taking it around 20 to 30 minutes before you train, but always follow the directions on your specific product. This is general info only, so defer to the label.
Can I take pre-workout before bed or an evening workout?
If you train at night, a non-stim or pump pre-workout avoids the caffeine that can disrupt sleep, while stim formulas are better earlier in the day. Check the label and ask a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
I'm sensitive to caffeine, which pre-workout should I get?
Look for a non-stim or pump pre-workout, or a lower-caffeine formula, and check the caffeine on the product page before buying. Try Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack to match a product to your preferences.
Will I build a tolerance to pre-workout?
This is general info, not medical advice, and tolerance varies by person, so follow the label and do not exceed the directed serving. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns about caffeine.
What ingredients are usually in pre-workout?
Formulas vary, but you will commonly see caffeine plus pump and performance ingredients, with the full list on each product page. This is general info, so read the label and ask a pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or on medication.
Are your pre-workouts batch tested or Informed Sport certified?
Some pre-workouts are batch-tested and carry a Batch Tested badge showing the standard (Informed Sport, Informed Choice, or NSF Certified for Sport), but not every product is certified. If you are drug-tested, check the badge on the specific product and batch in the Tested for Sport collection.
Which pre-workout brands do you stock?
We carry pre-workouts from brands including Bucked Up, Cellucor, Ghost, Gaspari, ProSupps, Ryse, Raw Nutrition, Alani Nu, and more. Browse the full range on site or use Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack. (As of 29 June 2026.)
Can I take pre-workout if I'm new to training or under 18?
Pre-workouts vary in strength, so a lower-stim or non-stim option is a gentler start, and this is general info, not medical advice. If you are under 18, pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication, check with a doctor or pharmacist first and follow the label.
Creatine
What is creatine monohydrate?
Creatine monohydrate is the most common and well-studied form of creatine, a compound your body also makes and stores in muscle. It is widely used by people doing strength and high-intensity training, and this is general info, so follow the product label.
How much creatine should I take per day?
Typical creatine monohydrate labels direct around 3 to 5g per day. Always follow the directions on your specific product, and check with a doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or on medication.
Do I need to do a creatine loading phase?
Loading is optional, not required, and some people take a higher amount for the first week then drop to a daily maintenance amount while others just take the daily amount from the start. Follow your product label and ask a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
When is the best time to take creatine?
Timing is flexible with creatine monohydrate, since what matters most is taking it consistently each day. Pick a time you will remember, like with a meal or around training, and follow your product label.
How much water should I drink with creatine?
Mix creatine into a glass of water or your usual drink and stay generally well hydrated through the day, especially when training. This is general info, so follow the directions on your specific product label.
Can I mix creatine into my pre-workout or protein shake?
Yes, many people stir creatine monohydrate into a pre-workout, protein shake, or juice. Check that you are not doubling up if your other product already contains creatine, and follow each product's label.
Is creatine suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Creatine is relevant for vegetarians and vegans because it occurs mainly in meat and fish, so plant-based diets tend to be lower in it. Most creatine monohydrate is synthetically made and not animal-derived, but check the specific product label.
Is creatine safe to take?
Creatine monohydrate is one of the most researched sports supplements and is widely used at typical label amounts. We cannot give medical advice, so follow the label and check with a doctor or pharmacist if pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or on medication.
What is the difference between creatine monohydrate and other forms?
Creatine monohydrate is the standard, most studied, and most affordable form, and other forms like creatine HCl are marketed for mixability or smaller doses. Monohydrate remains the benchmark most labels are built around, so check the product page for details.
Do you carry creatine brands, and are any batch tested for sport?
Yes, we stock creatine from several of our 32 brands. Some products are independently batch tested to standards like Informed Sport or NSF Certified for Sport, so check for the Batch Tested badge on the product page or browse the Tested for Sport collection. (As of 29 June 2026.)
Amino Acids, BCAA, EAA & Intra
What is the difference between BCAA and EAA?
BCAAs are three of the nine essential amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, valine), while EAAs cover all nine your body cannot make. EAAs give the fuller amino profile; pick by the product label and your goal.
What is an intra-workout supplement and when do I use it?
An intra-workout is something you sip during training, usually EAAs or BCAAs often paired with electrolytes or carbs. Mix one serve in your shaker and drink through the session, following the product label directions.
Should I take amino acids or just stick with protein powder?
If you already hit your daily protein with whey or plant protein, that usually covers your amino acids. EAAs or intra products suit fasted training or topping up during long sessions; this is general info, not dietary advice.
Do your intra-workout products have electrolytes for hydration?
Some intra and EAA products include added electrolytes for hydration, but not all do. Check the ingredients panel on the product page, and if you train long or sweat heavily, look for one with electrolytes listed.
What flavours do your BCAA and EAA powders come in?
Flavours vary by brand and product, so the live options show on each product page. Pick your flavour there before adding to cart, or set it through Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack.
Are any of your amino acids or BCAAs batch tested for banned substances?
We flag products independently batch tested to Informed Sport, Informed Choice, or NSF Certified for Sport with a Batch Tested badge. Browse the Tested for Sport collection and check the badge on the specific product and batch.
Which brands of EAA and BCAA do you stock?
We carry amino and intra products from brands like Xtend, Ghost, Ryse, Raw Nutrition, CBUM, and others across our 32 brands. Browse the Amino Acids range to see what is in stock. (As of 29 June 2026.)
Can I subscribe to my BCAA or intra-workout and save?
Yes, subscribe on eligible amino and intra products and save 10% from the product page or through Find Your Stack. Manage, skip, or cancel anytime from your account, powered by Recharge.
Is Xtend BCAA the original from a real supplier or grey-market stock?
All our Xtend and other stock is 100% genuine, sourced through official channels with no grey-market or fakes. Questions on a specific product can go to info@nzsupps.co.nz.
Goals: Muscle, Fat Loss, Recovery, Energy
What supplements should I take to build muscle?
Most muscle-building stacks start with a protein powder and creatine monohydrate, often with a pre-workout for training. For a personalised pick based on your goal and training, run the Find Your Stack quiz at /pages/find-your-stack.
I want to lean out and lose fat, where do I start?
For leaning out, shoppers usually pair a protein powder with their training and diet, and some add an energy or thermogenic option. Use Find Your Stack at /pages/find-your-stack for a tailored suggestion; this is general info, not diet advice.
What helps with recovery after training?

Are your supplements suitable for vegans or vegetarians?
Some are and some are not. Check the ingredients and any vegan or plant-based labelling on the product page, since whey is dairy-derived while plant proteins are not.
Do you have gluten-free or dairy-free options?
Yes, some products are gluten-free or dairy-free, but it varies by item. Read the ingredients and allergen statement on the product page and the label, as many proteins contain milk.
How do I check the allergens in a product before I buy?
Read the ingredients and allergen information on the product page, then confirm against the physical label when it arrives. If anything is unclear, email help@nzsupps.co.nz before ordering.
Are your products halal certified?
Certification varies by brand and product, so we cannot make a blanket halal claim. Check the specific product label for any certification, and email help@nzsupps.co.nz if you need to confirm before buying.

This depends on the product and label directions, which often state adult use only. We suggest checking with a doctor or pharmacist before anyone under 18 uses a supplement, and following the label.

We cannot give medical advice on this. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any supplement, and follow the directions on the product label.

We cannot advise on interactions. If you are on any medication, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting a supplement, and follow the directions on the product label.
