Macro Mike builds this one on roasted peanut protein instead, backed by Australian faba bean and pea, which is why it pours thicker and drinks closer to a real shake. This is the Peanut Butter Cheesecake version, peanut butter with a soft cheesecake tang.
One 40g scoop delivers 24.7g protein, 4.8g carbohydrate of which 2.5g is sugars, 3.2g fat, 4.0g dietary fibre and 196 mg sodium, for 615 kJ. The 1kg bag holds 25 of those serves.
Coconut milk powder adds the creamy body and a little natural fat. Coconut nectar plus a stevia, monk fruit and thaumatin blend does the sweetening, so there is no sucralose or aspartame in the formula. Guar gum keeps the texture smooth and Himalayan rock salt lifts the flavour. Probiotic Lactospore (Bacillus coagulans) is included at 50mg per serve.
Shake it with 220ml to 250ml of water or almond milk. It also folds into oats, smoothies, protein balls and baking without going gluey, which is where a peanut base earns its keep.
