This is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups version, raw cacao sitting on roasted peanut.
One 40g scoop delivers 24.8g protein, 4.3g carbohydrate of which 2.4g is sugars, 3.2g fat, 4.1g dietary fibre and 194 mg sodium, for 609 kJ. The 1kg bag holds 25 of those serves.
Coconut milk powder adds the creamy body and a little natural fat. Coconut nectar plus a stevia, monk fruit and thaumatin blend does the sweetening, so there is no sucralose or aspartame in the formula. Guar gum keeps the texture smooth and Himalayan rock salt lifts the flavour. Probiotic Lactospore (Bacillus coagulans) is included at 50mg per serve.
Shake it with 220ml to 250ml of water or almond milk. It also folds into oats, smoothies, protein balls and baking without going gluey, which is where a peanut base earns its keep.
