Premium Almond Protein is the powder Macro Mike built its name on, and Chocolate Hazelnut is the version for anyone who wants roasted hazelnut sitting under smooth cocoa. The base is Californian almond protein blended with Australian grown faba bean protein, which is what keeps the texture silky rather than gritty.
The powder is milled fine, so 230ml to 250ml of water is enough for a thin shake and plant milk gives you something closer to a thickshake. It also stirs through oats, folds into yoghurt and blends into smoothies without changing the texture much.
No dairy, no gluten, no soy protein and no artificial sweeteners. Sweetness comes from monk fruit and thaumatin, with coconut nectar in the blend. Contains almonds and is made in a facility that also handles peanuts and soy. The 400g bag works out at 10 serves.
Mix one 40g scoop with 230ml to 250ml of water or plant milk, shake well and drink straight away. Use it after training or any time you need to top up protein for the day.
