Premium Almond Protein is the powder Macro Mike built its name on, and Chocolate Hazelnut is the version for anyone who wants roasted hazelnut sitting under smooth cocoa. The base is Californian almond protein blended with Australian grown faba bean protein, which is what keeps the texture silky rather than gritty.

What you get per serve

  • 23.7g of plant protein per 40g scoop
  • 142.6 calories per serve
  • 3.4g fat and 4.3g carbohydrate
  • Panmol B Complex from sprouted quinoa
  • LactoSpore Bacillus coagulans at 1 billion CFU

How it mixes

The powder is milled fine, so 230ml to 250ml of water is enough for a thin shake and plant milk gives you something closer to a thickshake. It also stirs through oats, folds into yoghurt and blends into smoothies without changing the texture much.

What is left out

No dairy, no gluten, no soy protein and no artificial sweeteners. Sweetness comes from monk fruit and thaumatin, with coconut nectar in the blend. Contains almonds and is made in a facility that also handles peanuts and soy. The 800g bag works out at 20 serves.

Nutrition per serving. Flavour: Chocolate Hazelnut.

Mix one 40g scoop with 230ml to 250ml of water or plant milk, shake well and drink straight away. Use it after training or any time you need to top up protein for the day.

Vegans, dairy free lifters and anyone whose stomach does not get along with whey but still wants a shake that tastes like dessert.

How many serves are in the 800g bag?

20 serves at 40g each.

Does it taste like a typical pea protein?

No. The almond and faba bean base is much smoother than pea protein, and Chocolate Hazelnut is on the dessert end of the flavour scale.

Is it vegan?

Yes. It is plant based and made without dairy or gluten.

Does it contain nuts?

Yes, it contains almonds and is made in a facility that also handles peanuts and soy.

Water or milk?

Water at 230ml to 250ml keeps it light. Plant milk makes it richer and thicker.

Great taste

Tastes pretty good on its own and doesn't have an after-taste like some other proteins, but tastes better with some extra cocoa powder added to it
